- Written by Soca musician Alphonsus Celestine
Edmund Cassell, also known as "Arrow" (born 11/16/54 in Montserrat, West
		Indies)

		- Soco music is basically a cross between Soul and
		Calypso

		- Hot Hot Hot was first recorded by
		Arrow in 1982

		- It became an overnight anthem in
the Caribbean and a dance floor favorite

		- By far the most popular version of
the song was recorded by David Johansen, who performed under the
		pseudonym Buster Poindexter

		- Johanson (born 1/9/50 in
		Staten Island, New York) had
originally fronted the 1970s punk band The New York Dolls

		- The Dolls were the darlings of the
critics' and maintained a modest cult following, but they were unable to
		survive commercially

		- Some allege that this was because
they were ahead of their time, and others simply feel they weren't that
		interesting

		- Although gratified
that the song paid the bills, Johansen later referred to the song Hot
		Hot Hot as "the bane
		of my life"

		- Johansen is currently touring with
a new version of The New York Dolls that originally included two other
former members of the original band

		- Unfortunately bassist Arthur Kane
passed away from leukemia shortly after their first reunion concert, so
the current Dolls lineup consists of Johansen and guitarist Sylvain
		Sylvain

		- Buster Poindexter's version of Hot
		Hot Hot was released in
1987, and the song is a party classic,
		but it never cracked the
		Billboard Top 40

		- The song is an unofficial football chant adopted by
		Montserrat national football team

		- It also was recorded by the popular Latin teen group
		Menudo

		- It was used in the movie
soundtrack to The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea

		- AOne of the more unusual covers of
the song was done in 1985 when it was recorded in Hindi as Kuchh Gadbad
Hai, and became a hit in India by very popular Indian duo Babla &
		Kanchan

		- The song remains on of the more
popular songs in the Oracle Band's repertoire, and can usually be
counted on to get a conga line going and the party heat soaring

		Song Lyrics - Song Title
Ole Ole Ole Ole
Ole Ole Ole Ole
FIESTA!
Me mind on fire,
Me soul on fire
Feelin' hot hot hot
		Party people,
		All around me
Feelin hot hot hot
Oh what to do,
On a night like this
Music's sweet,
I can't
resist
We need,
A party song
A fun, Jamaican jam
So we can boom boom boom boom
Yeah arroom boom boom boom
See people rockin'
Yeah people chantin'
Feelin' hot hot hot
		Keep up the spirit
		Come on let's do it
Feelin' hot hot hot
It's in the air,
Celebration time
Music's sweet,
Captivate your mind
We have,
This party song
This fun, Jamaican jam
So we can boom boom boom boom
Yeah arroom boom boom boom
Feelin' hot hot hot
Feelin' hot hot hot
Oh lord
Ole Ole Ole Ole
Ole Ole Ole Ole
Ole Ole Ole Ole
Ole Ole Ole Ole
(Spoken)
People in the party hot hot hot

				 Buster Poindexter

				This is the
original, the album David Johansen called "the bane of my life".
				Currently
out of print, it is nevertheless available from a number of
online retailers. While new copies are rather pricy, as they are
considered collector's items, the used ones generally go for
				less than $5
				According to Amazon.com, it
is about to be re-issued and should be available by the end of
April 2008.  You can order your copy by clicking the
