  • The song was written by band member Gerry Beckley
  •  The other members of the band were Dan Peek and Dewey Bunnell.  
  • All three members were sons of American military servicemen stationed in England
  • The song hit #1 on the Top 40 charts in 1975, it was America's second #1 hit
