One of our favorite locations for a wedding reception, Ceresville features a magnificent setting on the banks of the Monocacy River, beautiful gardens, an outdoor area for ceremonies that is picture perfect, great cuisine, and a wonderful indoor setting with several rooms for folks to gather, including the main ballroom with lots of room for dancing.  Coupled with their exemplary service and incredibly efficient and courteous staff, we cannot recommend this location highly enough.

Situated on a bluff overlooking the Potomac River, this historic home features a stunning view, wonderful gardens, and plenty of space indoors.  The rooms are quite lively as far as sound goes, so make sure your band or DJ has the ability to play quietly or the sound can become overbearing.  You should be aware that the management of the facility is quite protective of their site, and their list of rules is lengthy and strictly enforced.

Located in central Prince Georges County, this relatively new mansion is named after the first captain of the aircraft carrier Enterprise.  It is a spacious home that can host quite a large reception.

Located right on the Chesapeake Bay just south of Annapolis, this is a great location for a "beach" wedding that can include all the frills.  Herrington Harbor South is a small, intimate resort location that features some incredibly personalized service.   Indoors or outdoors they have everything you need for a memorable reception!   The staff is positively wonderful to work with!!!

Lovely facility located between Olney and Laurel.  The grounds are beautiful, although you will need a tent as the mansion itself is too small to host a reception indoors, but it's great for a spring through fall outdoor wedding reception.  The only drawback is it's located next to the State Police helicopter base, and when one of the 'copters takes off it's rather noisy for about 5 minutes.

Located just outside the gates to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, just off Route 355 in Gaithersburg, Md, The Golden Bull has a very nice upstairs ballroom that can hold a very large wedding party.  The food there is excellent.  The restaurant is one of the best steak houses in Montgomery County, and is quite popular in the area.  The staff is attentive, and the rates are about average.

This is a really beautiful hotel located very near BWI airport in Columbia, Md, about 1/2 way between Washington and Baltimore.  It's near the heart of Columbia, but the park like setting makes it seem farther away from town than it actually is.  Excellent staff, very attentive to detail and easy to work with.

The band has performed here on several occasions, and the staff is among the best in the area.  They are attentive to your needs and deliver what they promise.  The hotel is located right off of I-270, so it is very easy to get to.

Strathmore Hall

Situated on a bluff just off I-495 in south Rockville, Maryland, along Rockville Pike, Strathmore Hall is a stately Georgian mansion with a firm commitment to the arts in Montgomery County.  The facility is available for rent for wedding receptions when there aren't any conflicting concerts or art exhibitions going on.  It is a perfect location for both receptions as well as ceremonies, it has acres of landscaped grounds ideal for photos. An indoor ballroom with hardwood floors is perfect for dancing, but as with other historic sites you must be careful about your entertainment getting too loud for the room.
