Steve Perry (vocals), Jonathan Cain,
(keyboards), Ross Vallory, (bass), Steve Smith, (drums), & Neil Schon,
(guitar)
- Although critics, particularly the highbrows at
Rolling Stone Magazine, were (and continue to be) harsh and incredibly
negative about the band's music, the 18 Top 40 hits and the sold out
arenas worldwide tend to demonstrate just how out of touch the "critics"
can really be
- Their "Greatest Hits" album has sold over 14 million
copies
- The song reached #12 on the Billboard Top 40 chart in
1983
- It was the 10th Top 40 hit for the band that recorded
18 hits between '79 and '96
- One of the great rock ballads of all time, and one of
the most popular songs ever recorded or performed by Journey
- A great first dance song at weddings
