Flower-power.jpg (92806 bytes) Over the course of the summer Oracle performed for a couple of anniversary parties, including this one at Oaklands Mansion in Columbia, where a 1960s theme prevailed.

As we mentioned earlier, 2005 saw a new band member begin to perform with Oracle.  Nikki Herrera is Mike & Veronica's youngest daughter, and during the course of the summer of 2005 she performed extensively with the band, eliciting cheers and standing ovations whenever she played.

Nikki plays electric violin, and also has an excellent singing voice.  As her repertoire expands you will probably be seeing more of this talented lady at future performances.

Travelers-party.jpg (107126 bytes) In September the band was selected to perform for The Travelers, a Filipino - American cultural society.

Nikki joined us for this performance as we brought out all of our formal ballroom dances...tangos, cha-chas, meringues, pasadobles, and more, in addition to our regular repertoire.

Oracle performed at a number of weddings throughout the year.

One of the most picturesque settings we performed at was over on the Eastern Shore of Maryland near the town of Centreville in September.

This beautiful location at a private home on the water provided an ideal backdrop for the wedding ceremony.

rod-reel-wedding.jpg (135265 bytes) In October we returned to perform for a wedding near the water...this time on the shores of Chesapeake Bay at the Rod & Reel Club in Chesapeake Beach.

This was an idyllic setting for for a wedding.

The end of October always brings around one of our favorite party days of the year...Halloween!

The annual Halloween Party & Costume Contest at Perry's Restaurant in Odenton has become a tradition for Oracle, and the costumes get better and better each year.

The band has to start thinking about what WE'RE going to wear somewhere during the summer so we can all be on the same page and coordinated.

Head over to the Perry's Restaurant 2005 Halloween Party page to see all the photos from this fabulous party.

We're pleased to announce that we'll be back for a fourth straight year in 2006 to once again host this great party.  We hope we see you there!

Winners of the Most Original costume were none other than our good friends Tim & Carol, who traveled all the way from near Philadelphia just to be there for the party
