camp-springs-elks.jpg (93591 bytes) In early November Oracle performed for the first time at the Camp Springs Elks Lodge down in Prince Georges County.

It's always great to find a new audience that appreciates your music, and we're looking forward to our return visit in 2006.

Oracle has been performing at the Fleet Reserve Club in Annapolis Maryland for several years now.  Although this is a private club, the folks there have treated us just like family, and performing there is a joy.

In November we dressed up in our formal wear for their Governor's Ball, and we have several performance booked for 2006.

Also in September Oracle performed for the first time at the Gambrills Athletic Association clubhouse in Gambrills Maryland.

This cavernous room was a complete sellout for the benefit of the kids in the Athletic Association.

You can see all of the photos we took at this event by going to the Gambrills Athletic Association 2006 Fund Raiser Photo Page.

The day before Thanksgiving has become another one of Oracle's "special" performance days.

Each year for the past three years we've performed at J&Js Afterdeck on the Wednesday before Turkey Day for the pre-Thanksgiving kickoff of the Holiday Season.

Check out the Holiday Kick-off Photo Gallery we put together for this years party.

Berkeley-Springs.jpg (150040 bytes) When December rolled around, the band pretty much booked up most of the month doing Holiday Parties.

However, we did end up doing one out of town wedding that month, out in the resort town of Berkeley Springs West Virginia.

As you can see from the top photo, this is a stately resort with big columns and red brick.

What we didn't really notice right away was that growing right through the walls of the banquet room were two huge oak trees!

This had to be without a doubt one of the most unusual ways we've ever seen to incorporate the natural environment into a structure!

holiday-party-1.jpg (111379 bytes) The Holiday Season is always a fun time for the band.

We get an opportunity to perform for so many new friends as we play at the various holiday parties throughout the month.

It's even more fun when we get a bunch of these new friends up on stage with us to have a good time!

The dance floor was packed at Afterdeck during the 2nd annual Oracle Band Holiday Party. Click for enlarged view. Things tend to get pretty hectic around the holiday season, and this year things got REALLY crazy as we found ourselves booked into more holiday parties than we had ever done before.

Suddenly we looked at the schedule and realized we didn't have a single public performance scheduled for the entire month!

We quickly contacted Jim over at J&Js Afterdeck, and he agreed to juggle his schedule around so that on Friday, December 9th we were able to throw the 2nd Annual Oracle Band Holiday Party For The Fans.

The Oracle Family is what has kept us going these past years.  Without a loyal fan base a band is destined to perform in the basement rather than in public.  So, as a thank you to the entire Oracle Family we sprung for a buffet table at Afterdeck, and came out early to hang out with everyone and enjoy their company.

As you would expect, we got lots of photos from the evening. In fact, we got so many we spread them out over two web pages!

Wow...and here we are again back at New Years 2005-2006 at the American Legion Post 175 in Severna Park.  It's now our third year in a row at the Legion, and another great party it was to wrap up 2005 and get 2006 under way.

The complete New Years 2005 - 2006 Photo Gallery is available for your review.

We'd like to thank all of our friends and family that have been supporting us throughout the year.  We have a couple more pages to go in this pictorial retrospective from 2005, and they belong to all of the Oracle family members who have helped make 2005 such a banner year for the band.

The Oracle Band in our finest outfits. Happy New Year to everyone!
The last song of the night at all of Oracle's performances is "Proud to Be An American". Stand up and sing!
